HOW TO MEASURE CURTAINS

Before you begin, we recommend the following items

  • Metal tape measure

  • Pen of pencil

  • Paper

Professional tip: For a spacious look, mount your curtain rod or track as close to the ceiling as possible.  This creates the illusion of taller windows and higher ceilings.

MEASURING FOR CURTAINS

We require two measurements when ordering your curtains, the track length and the curtain drop.

For curtain tracks

Step 1 - your track length is simply the measurement from one end of the track to the other

Step 2 - your curtain drop is from the top of the track to where you would like your curtain to finish, this could be just below the window sill, or you could go to the floor.

For curtain poles

Step 1 - the length measurement is taken from one end of the pole to the other end, but don't include the finials on

the end

Step 2 - when measuring your curtain drop on a pole simply measure from the underside of the decorative ring to where you

would like your curtain to finish.

Note: if your curtain track has an overlap arm in the center measure the overlap and add to the curtain width                                            â€‹

Professional tip - measure the drop in three places and use the smallest measurement.  We will make the necessary deductions, and the Curtain will finish approximately 10-15mm above the floor.
